Hello Sunshine!

Oh how Anna Scott loves the outdoors!  Like I mentioned in my last post, I have been working nights this month, so I've had extra time during the day to play with my sweet girl.  We have enjoyed our fun in the sun!  This post is full of pictures I have taken to document all of the fun we've had together.

Here, we are playing near the woods in search of sticks/bugs/squirrels/whatever she can find.   She is scared of lady bugs so if she sees something that resembles one, she runs away.  I haven't figured that one out.  I love how anything entertains her at this age.  It is awesome how amazed she is at the "little" things we take for granted.  Oh the wonder of it all!

Here you go, Papa...

I love her sweet profile.

Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles!  We play with bubbles every day...

She is growing more fond of her pink car.  She will be driving in no time.

We love picnics at the park.

Anna Scott loves the park.  Every time we pass the Homewood Central Park on our way home from school, she screams with excitement, "Park!  Let me have it!"  :)  We do visit the park often, as it is just down the hill from our house.  This is where we are having Anna Scott's 2nd birthday party in just a couple of weeks.  I think it is the perfect place for her party this year, given her love for the park at this age.  (it is also a pretty easy party to plan for mommy and after last year, simple sounds so nice)

Here are some cute snapshots at the park with friends...

What is a park date without time to relax and cool down at Steel City Pops?!

Bubbles, bubbles, and still... more bubbles!

While taking a break from chasing bubbles, she picked a flower for everyone in our extended family off of this beautiful azalea bush.

Anna Scott had a ball at Bentley's 2nd birthday party.  It was an "Oh TWO-dles!" party, complete with Bentley's Clubhouse and hotdogs for lunch.

Hey Birthday Boy!

She climbed all the way up this big slide by herself.

I think she was a little disoriented after her quick trip to the bottom.  :)

Lastly, a few miscellaneous photos, starting with our first pair of shorts...

Fun on the trampoline at GG's house (in our pajamas)...

and running with Mommy and Daddy in Trak Shak's Remembering Boston Run.  She loves to ride in her BOB stroller.  Many days, she will ask to go run over and over again.  I could run all day too if someone was pushing me!

Now, we must say, "Oh Too-dles!"  :)

I'll leave you with 5 Lessons I have re-learned from Anna Scott over the past few weeks...  1.  Enjoy the things we often take for granted - the "little" things that really aren't all that little.  See these things through the eyes of a child.  You'll begin to appreciate them in a whole new way.  2. Set aside time for your friends.  Friendship is soup for the soul.  3.  Laugh more than you think you should.  Laughter is the best medicine!  4.  Don't let anyone burst your bubble!  :)  5.  Lastly, in the midst of your busy life, take a moment to stop and smell the flowers.  You'll be glad you did.
