Thank You, Dad.

Hi Dad,
I know we haven't even met, but you are already my hero for putting my stroller together all by yourself.  I am sorry Mommy is not much help when it comes to reading and following instructions.

I am going to have the best time riding in my stroller during the beautiful spring and summertime.  I can't wait to see the sunshine!

My stroller is perfect.  It even fully reclines so that I can sleep soundly while you push me for hours and hours.  It won't be long until my first ride!  You're the best, Dad.

I love you,
Anna Scott

Happenings at 33 Weeks...

I am 33 weeks pregnant!  It isn't long until we get to meet our precious baby girl.  My cravings have started to get a little crazy as of late.  I was on a "something sweet" kick for a couple of weeks -- a snickers bar or cupcake made my day.  Now, "something fruity" seems to satisfy.  In fact, my dinner last night consisted of none other than fruit loops, strawberries and banana popsicles -- nothing more, nothing less!  :)    I think the latter craving is a bit healthier, though I bet Anna Scott really enjoyed the sugar overloads!  :)

So, what have we been up to lately?  For starters, we have been planning Anna Scott's nursery.  The bedding and panels are not quite ready yet and most of her furniture is either on order or being painted, but her crib is up and ready.  I will post pictures once the nursery is complete.  Until then, pray that I don't get too impatient waiting for it all to come together!  :)

We have also been preparing in other ways for her arrival.  We have successfully registered for all of the baby items we want and need.  This has been overwhelming but tons of fun all in one!  I am so looking forward to my showers in the coming weeks! Below is the sign Scott's mother made for our registries.  So sweet.

We have also added a personal touch to a few of her belongings.  This is the blankie that was in her first Christmas stocking.  I am sure Anna Scott will love this soft and cuddly friend.

"Home Improvements" has been a theme as of late.  We have enjoyed updating a few aspects of our home (built in 1951).  It's funny though, we would have never made these minor changes had we not been expecting a baby.  A baby does change everything! :)  Even our landscape has been given an extreme makeover during the past couple of days, thanks to Mario and his faithful crew.  It was just about time for a change, but Anna Scott's arrival has certainly expedited the process.  Now, I just have to pot a few plants/flowers and we will officially be ready for Spring!

As for me, I am feeling very well.  School is about to be a lot less hectic.  I will finish my 3rd year clerkships in just 3 weeks and I am looking forward to 3 months at home with Anna Scott before I start my 4th (and last!) year of medical school in August.  I will graduate next May (2012)... we will have lots to celebrate then -- a much anticipated graduation and a special someone's 1st birthday!  :)

That's a glimpse into our life as of late.  Preparing for a baby is lots of work but oh so much fun.

31 Weeks and Growing

I am now 31 weeks along and still growing everyday!  Anna Scott is very active - she stays busy (like her mom)!  :)  I can tell how much she has grown in just the past couple of weeks.  It's still so amazing to me that I am carrying a baby girl who will soon be mine to hold and to love.  Truly amazing.  I can't believe she will be here in just 9 weeks!

Please continue to pray for Scott and I as we prepare to enter parenthood.  We know it is a world of new and our lives will be forever changed.  As we look into the near future, we are confident that God will give us the strength and guidance to be the best parents we can be.  Our parents have set a great example and we look forward to watching them begin their lives as grandparents.  We can't wait for this journey to begin...
