Somewhere over the Rainbow...

You'll understand the title of this post a little later.

Fall 2015 was a bucket of fun.  The fun started with a trip with these babies to the pumpkin patch.

Our three precious pumpkins!

Anna Scott continued to love the outdoors (even after our pool days had sadly ended).

Anna Scott has learned so much during her last year of preschool at Mountain Brook Baptist Church.  One of her favorite things to do right now is write/draw.  She has become quite the little artist.  She is interested in how to spell and write everyone's name.

Caroline and Will are two of her favorite names to write.

When Grandaddy returned from one of his trips to Guatemala, we were at the airport to welcome him home.  Anna Scott thought that was pretty cool.

Alan joined Dad on this trip.  We were happy to see him too!

Reunited and it feels so good!  One of Anna Scott's favorite things about seeing Grandaddy after he's been to Guatemala is her surprise from the trip (imagine that).

Anna Scott loved attending lots of Fall festivals this year.  She is the perfect age to enjoy these fun events.  I think we attended 4 or 5 different Halloween/Fall festivals.  I was so glad when November 1st rolled around.  :)

Halloween is not Halloween without transforming a pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.

Anna Scott has her own pumpkin patch at her preschool each year.  She always likes to take me on a little tour and pick out her favorite pumpkin in the patch.

Disney on Ice is a favorite during this time of year.  It was always one of my favorite things as well. Anna Scott's daddy surprised her by picking her up at lunch one Friday and taking her to the show.  His plan was well thought out - he had a princess dress in the back of his car for her to change into once they arrived.  Good daddy.  He really is a good one.

This year, our Halloween theme was The Wizard of Oz.  Needless to say, Anna Scott was the perfect Dorothy.

Oh, another festival...  :)

Halloween Party day at school!

Halloween was on a Saturday night this year.  On Friday night (Halloween Eve), we had some fun in our neighborhood.  The witches ride was just awesome.  Then, it was time for the Grove Place Halloween party.

The neighborhood kids ended the night with a movie on the big screen!

Halloween night finally arrived, and we were so excited about everything... except for the weather.  It rained all night!  Luckily, we were smart and got an early start.  We were off to see the Wizard, and let's face it...  It's tough to follow the yellow brick road after dark!

The Cast from the Wizard of Oz:  Dorothy (Anna Scott), Toto, the scarecrow (Scott), the lion (my dad), the tin man (Alan), the wicked witch of the west (Allison), and Glinda, the good witch (yours truly).

Oh, and I almost forgot...  our little lollipop munchkin (Will)

This little girl, our Dorothy, was the star of the show.

I think she may have been a little embarrassed by the rest of us!  :)

She had one thing and one thing only on her mind...  "There's no place like home."

She was able to collect lots of candy before going back to Kansas.

One Fall Saturday, we met some friends for lunch and then a trip to the McWane Center!
Anna Scott is all smiles when she is about to do anything with her friends.   And, by all smiles I mean REAL smiles.  Not those fake ones I get in most pictures.  ha.

We arrived a little early and had to kill some time.  So, I gave her a little driving lesson.  ;)

I took quite a few pictures.  She was a busy girl while we were there.

This Thanksgiving, we tripled our thankfulness.  We now had not just one, but three little indians to be thankful for!  My babies have always loved the song...  "One little, two little, three little indians..."

This little Indian's name was Moonlight.  She learned a lot about what it means to be thankful this year.

You better bet the names of these other two little indians were written on her tree of thanks!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family.

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good.  His love endures forever.  Psalm 107:1
