Yes, we have been partying! We had three birthday parties in a row, the first three weekends in March. The first was a farm party for Thomas's 1st and McNeill's 3rd birthdays. Anna Scott couldn't wait to give McNeill her birthday gift.

The second birthday we attended was Lucy's 2nd birthday party. Anna Scott had to drive a long way to Lucy's house in Columbus, Georgia to arrive at the party, but boy was it worth the drive. We had so much fun!
Someone really had a ball.
The party theme was based on the book, "A told B and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree."
Anna Scott loved helping Lucy open gifts.
The third birthday party was a Minnie Mouse "Oh Two-dles" party for Amelia. These sweet girls got to see each other two weekends in a row.

Anna Scott thought the hit of the party was this minnie tattoo on her cheek.
She did not let me wash it off for 5 days. I finally wiped off what was left of it with a soapy rag Thursday night after she went to sleep!
Those aren't the only parties we have been to lately! We had a fun family dinner at Brio to celebrate Uncle Alan's 28th birthday. Look at those pretty smiles in the picture below.

Love this sweet picture of my mom and Anna Scott at dinner that night. These two are all smiles when they are together. Anna Scott loves her Grandmama soooooo much. The way she says "GRANDmama," with an emphasis on "grand" has always been so cute.
We even partied with Mickey Mouse and his gang at Disney Jr Live! Anna Scott loved taking her friend McNeill to the show. Scott and I had the best time with these sweet girls.
Mickey put on quite a show, of course. Anna Scott did not move the entire show. I always feel so sorry for her when things like this are over because I know just how bad she wants there to be more. When she can tell it is getting close to being over, she asks over and over again, "Is it over?" Breaks my heart.
We celebrated the first day of Spring by none other than visiting the Homewood Park after work/school that day. I love this picture. Just something so cute about it.
Here are some pictures at the Crestline Park and the Tot Lot. Anna Scott knows the names of all the parks and she'll let us know which one she prefers on any given day (often more than one). One day not long ago, we stayed at all the different parks combined over 3 hours. I am telling you, the child could play at the park all day. Really, who needs Disney!?!? Well, her parents need Disney, so we will have to go again soon. :)
She was playing hard until she heard the little melody that every child loves to hear. The ice cream truck! Of course, she had to grab a popsicle, along with all of the other children.
We ended that fun afternoon with dinner at La Paz.
Once we got home, Anna Scott wanted to see if her friend Andrew could play. We walked down to his house, and I could tell he wasn't home. She just stood there staring at his house from across the street, wearing this pouty face.
So she took her bunny for a ride instead.
Then, we made up for it with an ice cream date with Andrew later on.
Last weekend, we spent a few hours at my parents' house. Love this sweet picture of Grandaddy reading to Anna Scott. She loves nothing more than being read to. We read books all of the time.
The next picture is one of my all time favorites. I just think it is so sweet. We will cherish these moments forever.
Mama D came by to visit, and Anna Scott decided she would change into her pjs and go home with Mama D for the rest of the night. Another sweet picture and another person that Anna Scott loves with her whole heart.
When Anna Scott is at Grandmama and Grandaddy's house she loves to walk down the street to see sweet Comet. When he is out to play, it makes her day.
Just a couple of extras. Here is Scott's chili cook-off team from a few weeks ago. Scott always enjoys this great day. Last year, it was freezing at the cook-off, and this year the weather was perfect. Made for a nice afternoon!
We love Homewood and its fun restaurants, shops and parks that are within walking distance of our house. Lazy Saturdays are so much fun. We love going to the park, eating a good lunch while listening to live music, and grabbing some ice cream from Edgewood Creamery afterwards. Anna Scott enjoyed listening to the music while at Hart and Soul one Saturday afternoon. They could tell she was a big fan, and they sang a song about a sweet little girl (using Anna Scott's name).

Anna Scott and McNeill are taking swim lessons together this year. Here they are at their first lesson.
Anna Scott started out perfectly, then decided she wanted to be scared of the water. She refused to get in and swim. I have heard this is normal, but I hope we grow out of this phase quickly! She has always loved the water and has never been scared before. McNeill did a great job. She sat a good example for Anna Scott that I hope we will follow next week. Ha.

I wish I could share with you each and every funny thing Anna Scott has said and done lately. Every day is a new adventure. She is soooooo funny. I smile so many times a day just thinking about things she has said. One thing fresh on my mind from recently: Scott was having a serious talk with her about using her manners. He was about 1 minute into his speech when she interrupted him and said, "Now, you listen here young man!"
A few other things:
She says "Lellow" for Yellow. Cute.
She says Smarshmallows for Marshmallows.
She calls all of her friends in her class at school by their first and last names.
She loves everything Disney. She knows ALL of the songs. It is the sweetest.
I tell her "I love you soooo much. More than anything in the whole wide world."
She tells me "I lush you sooo much in the whole wide world."
She has started calling me "My Mommy" and Scott "My Daddy"
Before we leave her at school, she says, "I have to get a hug and a kiss." Every day.
She knows she is two and that she turns three on May 10th.
She is so proud she can hold up three fingers. It is hard to do!
She knows her address (we taught it to her in a song). Ha.
She says "Anoder" instead of another. Love that.
She says let's do it "one more time," "two more times," "three more times," "five more times."
She means "a thousand more times!" :)
We were singing "I'll Fly Away" in church one Sunday morning, and she whispered in my ear, "The Lorax flies away." Ha!
She says "yesterday" referring to anything that happened in the past. No matter how many days, weeks, months ago it was.
I have a picture to go along with one funny story from last week. We were playing hide and seek. I told her to hide while I counted to 20. After slowly counting to 20, I turned the corner to see this. It was just so funny, because she usually isn't hard to find, but I didn't expect to see her on top of the bed! Silly girl. We need to work on hiding strategies!
This is such a fun age. Every day just gets better and better. I could kiss her cheeks and lips over and over and over again. Scott and I are soaking up all she says and does, all of her sugar, her hugs, and her every little move. We just think to ourselves, "what a wonderful world."
