Hi there! It has been awhile. We have been so busy that I have found it hard to keep up the blogging, but in an effort to catch up, here is a post about our Easter this year.
After this post, I will catch you up on Anna Scott's 3rd birthday celebrations and finally sail into summer.
But first, this bunny wants you to hear all about our Easter fun!
Anna Scott decorated our Easter tree for the first time this year.
She helped me decorate our house for Easter. Her basket was ready for the Easter Bunny.
Here are a few miscellaneous pictures of Anna Scott around Easter that don't have a perfect place within the post, so I'll stick them here. ;)
Anna Scott does lots of crafts at school, but I always try to make time to do a few things together at home each holiday. This Easter, we made a bunny out of a paper plate and cotton balls. Anna Scott just loved this bunny, almost as if he came to life after she created him. He is still on our fridge to this day.
We also made these pretty tissue paper eggs.
Lastly, she took these chocolate bunnies to her school Easter party. One for each friend in her class.
And the cutest mugs in the whole wide world to her two special teachers.
One of our favorite Easter traditions is eating our snacks (and sometimes meals) out of little "surprise" eggs. This year, she shared many of these snacks with her bunnies during their "tea parties." Sweet Sweet Sweet.
Anna Scott was ready for the Dawson Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt in the picture below.
At this fun event, she got to decorate a cookie,
ride a pony,
and watch a fun puppet show (no picture).
Anna Scott warmed up to the idea of hunting eggs this year. She still wasn't quite as into it as I would have hoped for - maybe next year.
Eggs or no eggs, what she did love was the Easter Bunny. She had her own personal 20 minutes with him and it was the sweetest 20 minutes I have witnessed in a long time. :) She was head over heals for this white bunny with big blue eyes and pretty pink ears.
She literally jumped for joy when she saw him!
The Easter Bunny loved Anna Scott too, and on Easter morning, he brought her a basket full of Easter joys, just like the song says.
But, while Easter eggs and the Easter Bunny are lots of fun, it is important to remember the real reason we celebrate Easter. I love this picture of Scott reading to her about "The True Night Before Easter."
Happy Easter! He is Risen!
We enjoyed having Scott's parents join us for church that day.
On Easter Sunday afternoon, as tradition says to do, we hunted Easter eggs in my parents' front yard.
The large bounce house in the background was left over from Anna Scott's birthday party the day before. :)
The dress she is wearing was mine when I was her age. I loved seeing her in it this Easter.
Anna Scott always has a princess with her (everywhere she goes). Anna from the movie Frozen was the lucky one this day.
Taylor Campbell made the sweetest Easter pictures of Anna Scott wearing my dress. It goes without saying, he does a beautiful job and captured my three year old princess perfectly. Here are a few favorites...
The End.
