Sunday, August 30th was a special day. Our precious Will was dedicated to the Lord. He shared the day with his cousin, Caroline. After the dedication, my parents hosted a seated luncheon at their home for family. The day was made even more special by my dad's parents meeting Caroline and Will for the first time, as well as having 5 generations in attendance on my mom's side of the family.
I would say more about the dedication itself, but I can't say it better than the song my dad played and sang during the dedication service. He wrote the words and music to the song for his grandchildren and titled it "First Day Prayer." I have included a recording of the song below so that you can listen to the words as you scroll through the pictures. It will caption the day and our hearts better than anything I could say. Such a beautiful prayer; one every parent should pray for their child.
