Here is my baby on her first Valentine's Day. 9 months old.
Do all valentines grow this fast?!?!
I mean really, it has only been 2 years!
Anna Scott went to a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and left with these precious party favors. I thought they were cute with her little valentine dress.
Anna Scott was out of school for most of the week leading up to Valentine's Day, due to another snowcation, so we did a little craft at home. Isn't our butterfly pretty!? We were talking about how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, so she wanted to include the caterpillar - although technically, the caterpillar is supposed to be invisible at this point because the butterfly IS the caterpillar. :) Hard for a 2 year old to understand.
She finally did get to attend school on Friday (Valentine's Day), and was able to have a school party with her friends. I didn't have time to make cute tags for her party treats because I wasn't sure she was going to have a party until the day before, so this is all I could do. Oh well. She thought it was something special.
While we are on the subject of artwork, here are a couple of Anna Scott's latest masterpieces. We love adding new artwork to the art wall. We just need a few more art walls. :)
Love this pretty strawberry cake that Anna Scott's Mama D made and brought to our house. I only had a few large pieces. :)
GG (Anna Scott's great-grandmother) got her a sweet book titled How Do I Love You?
The perfect little book for Valentine's Day
This was one of the books (among many others) Anna Scott read to her stuffed animals one Saturday morning. I love how she turns the book so that they can see. Also, you will notice she has a keyboard next to her. Story and music time. Sweet Sweet Sweet.
Anna Scott loved opening valentine happy after valentine happy!
One of her favorite gifts was making slime (in all different colors). We have had the best time playing with slime. It is much better than play dough. Not near as messy and lots more fun!
Scott left a sweet valentine for Anna Scott and me that greeted us when we walked in the door that Friday afternoon. Flowers, stuffed animals, candies, balloons... the whole works. Made our day. I am so thankful for my two loves. Life couldn't be any sweeter.
Scott and I got to go out, just the two of us for dinner. It was a nice little getaway. This is an awful picture (way too close for me and just for the record, I don't have a black eye), but here we are, child free and ready to have a good time.
Anna Scott and I just got back from a trip to Madison, Mississippi to visit my sister and her husband for a few days. Such a fun vacation and much needed time with family. Love when we are all together. Here are some snapshots we took during our little vacay.
Anna Scott loved being pampered at Aunt Allison's office. Shhhh... don't tell her Daddy. :)
Of course, her favorite thing about Madison is the park. She played her little heart out, as usual.
The weather was beautiful. I could have sat there in the warm sunshine and watched her play forever and ever.
Precious girl was tired after all of the park fun.
I love spending time with my sister. She is so much fun to be around and we have the best time together. So thankful every day that God blessed me with her!
Thank you for letting us visit, Aunt Allison. We'll be back!
Recently, Birmingham experienced more snow. Only this time, it was the most beautiful snow I have ever seen. It fell so quickly, and before we knew it, we had 3 inches. Of course, we had to go outside and play. Here are some pictures from that fun night.
"Let's go play in the snow!"
"Yes!"
"Do you want to build a snowman?"
"Let's go find some friends!"
Anna Scott dressed her up! Popsicle arms and all.
SNOW much fun!!!
The next day, the sun came out and the snow melted quickly. We said goodbye to Frosty and told him that we hoped he'd be back again someday, just like the song says.
We were sad to see Frosty melt, but happy to visit the park on the warmer, sunny days that followed.
I mentioned Anna Scott's friend having a farm party earlier. Here are some pictures from Campbell's 3rd birthday party. Anna Scott had a great time!
Love this sweet picture of Anna Scott and Bentley during one of their recent play dates. These two are really something when they get together.
I will leave you with our latest picture. Anna Scott came home from dance class wearing her cowgirl boots. Cowgirl or ballerina? I think we are a little confused. :)
Anna Scott is sooo precious! I just love reading about all of her adventures. I especially love the pics of her reading to her animals--what a sweet little teacher! Can't wait to see y'all in just over a week :)
