Where did Fall and Winter go?
Did they both pass through; falling leaves, then snow?
Why were they in such a hurry? Did they even say goodbye?
Looking back through photographs, it makes me wonder why.
We had such fun together during Fall and Winter days.
From twirling in your tutu, to making soccer plays,
you made each moment special, and I'm glad that it was I
who walked with you and held your hand as the days flew by.
I take all of these photographs so that you'll always know
just how much I love you and love to watch you grow.
As the seasons change, so will your hands, your heart, your smile,
but one thing remains constant: I'm your mother; you're my child.
So, let's keep walking hand in hand; why stop to reminisce?
For if my footsteps fall behind, just think of all I'll miss.
And I'm not going to cry as the seasons come and go,
for the memories made today will still be mine tomorrow.
