Each year, Scott and I host a football "pre-kickoff" party at our home. We started the tradition 3 years ago and we plan to continue as long as we are able! We love hosting the party each year to kick off the upcoming season. We invite our fellow football fans to watch the first college football game on Thursday night. We provide the wings and everyone brings their favorite tailgating snack, making it a fun evening of football, family, friends and food! Football season is quickly approaching, and we are getting ready for the 4th annual pre-kickoff party now. I get so busy chatting during the evening, that I put the camera down and am left with no pictures of the action. But, here are some pics of the setup from previous parties...
Below are the invitations to the 2009 and 2010 pre-kickoff parties. I was proud of the 2010 invitation! I created it using pictures from Alabama's perfect season in 2009. The picture on the front of the invitation is with our friends in the Rose Bowl after the National Championship game and one of the team just after the big win over Texas. Inside, there are a couple from that trip, along with one of Mark Ingram accepting his Heisman Trophy award. Our upcoming 2010 schedule is on the inside as well. I really loved this invitation!
The 2011 pre kickoff party is just around the corner, so it's time to pull out the houndstooth and crimson! Stay tuned for pictures from the party. This year, I promise to take some pictures after the guests arrive. :) ROLL TIDE!!!
