Baby's First Easter

Anna Scott had a wonderful first Easter.  We kicked off the weekend with an Easter egg hunt here in Birmingham.  When we arrived, we spotted one of Anna Scott's little friends.  They had a fun time playing together.

The weather was perfect and the eggs were plenty, but the most exciting thing about this little adventure was that she got to meet the Easter Bunny.  You can see that she is looking for him in the picture below.  She is like, "Where in the world is the Easter Bunny?!  I brought this carrot for him."  :)

"There he is!  I knew I would find him."

As you can tell, she loved him.  I think she would have stayed with him all Easter long, had we just left her there.  Something tells me next year will be a little different.

Here are a few more pictures after the Easter egg hunt had ended...

That evening, we prepared a snack for the Easter Bunny, because we thought he may be a little tired and hungry after hopping from house to house.  Santa gets to ride in a sleigh and then eats cookies and milk.  The Easter Bunny has to hop everywhere and then eats carrots and lettuce.  Something about that just isn't fair.  I bet the Easter Bunny is much healthier than Santa!  :)

The Easter Bunny did hop by!  He ate all of his goodies and left a basket full of Easter joys for Anna Scott.

I loved celebrating Anna Scott's first Easter; however, nothing will compare to being able to share with her the real meaning of Easter in years to come - our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's death and resurrection!  We know our Redeemer lives, and that is something to be celebrated on Easter Sunday and every day.

Scott's parents attended church with us on Easter Sunday morning.

Easter treats from Mama D and Papa...

After church, we went to my parents' house for dinner and more Easter goodies...

She loved this bunny that sings and dances!

Her first tennis ball!  :)

Family pictures...

We had time to relax a little too...

We hope your Easter was a very Happy one!
