Pumpkins and Mums and Babies, Oh My!

I know this title scared you half to death!  Well, maybe not...  but it fits the blog post nonetheless.  This year's Halloween has been oh so sweet and not so scary.  In fact, the scariest thing we have encountered, is this reversible sign on our front door.

Gets us every time!  :)

I love decorating for Halloween!  It's such a fun time of year.  Here are a few photos of Halloween at our house...

Don't you just love the front porch decoration below!?

We love our Halloween bib...

and our Alabama pumpkin!

This was Anna Scott's first Halloween, so we made sure it was eventful.  Not that she'll remember, but we will!  And she'll see pictures one day. Anna Scott and Owen visited the pumpkin patch last weekend...

On Thursday night, we went to the "Stars Fell on Alabama" festival...

Don't you just love fresh fruits and veggies (above)!?  So good! There were several farmer's market stands at the festival, and I was in heaven!

On Friday night, we joined Aunt Allison and Uncle Alan for pumpkin carving fun!

We enjoyed a chicken chili dinner beside the fire and s'mores for dessert.  Anna Scott was such a big helper.

She gathered the pumpkins for our family of three...

chose her pumpkin (the one without a stem)...

cut a hole out of the top...

scooped out all of the ooey gooey mess...

and helped daddy carve her first pumpkin!

Ta Da!!!!  Minnie Mouse!

She was so proud!

After the pumpkins had a been gutted, carved and lit, Anna Scott's work was done.  She missed out on the s'mores, but that's okay.  All this baby wanted was s'more sleep.  :)

 Our pumpkins...

An Alabama "A"

A scream mask (adding a little scary to the sweetness)

and...   Minnie Mouse!

This evening, Anna Scott will wrap up her first Halloween with a stroll along a darling street in Edgewood that is closed and full of children.  The trick-or-treaters at our door will then be greeted by a sweet pumpkin and lots of candy!  :)

We hope you have a BOO-tiful Halloween day and a SPOOK-tacular Halloween night!  Before we go, we want to share a special Halloween greeting with you.  I know they look so angry, but these are the sweetest little pumpkins in the patch!
